For Landowners
What could your property earn?
There is no single answer, and anyone who gives you one is guessing. What we can do is show you how the math works, so you can think through your own land honestly.
Illustrative examples only
Two numbers drive everything.
Landowner revenue on Wing It is simply the price you set multiplied by the number of days that get booked. A modest daily rate booked often can be worth more over a year than a high daily rate booked rarely.
Fishing access
$75 per day
x 12 bookings
Gross landowner revenue
$900
Upland hunting
$125 per day
x 15 bookings
Gross landowner revenue
$1,875
Deer access
$250 per day
x 8 bookings
Gross landowner revenue
$2,000
Camping
$50 per night
x 20 bookings
Gross landowner revenue
$1,000
These are arithmetic examples, not Wing It performance data and not a forecast. They are here to show how a daily rate and a number of bookings combine. Actual pricing, demand and booking volume vary based on the property, its location, the activity, the season, habitat and property quality, how much availability you open, and overall market demand. No property is guaranteed any bookings.
Stacking activities
One property can offer more than one thing.
The examples above treat each activity separately. In practice a single property often supports several across the calendar — turkey in the spring, a pond through the summer, dove and upland in the fall, camping when the weather is good. Each activity you add is another reason for someone to book, and another season your land can be earning instead of sitting idle.
- More activities means more of the year is bookable.
- More open dates means more chances to be found and booked.
- Good photos and a clear, specific description help a listing convert.
- Realistic pricing for your area tends to produce more total bookings.
The fee math
The figures above are what you receive.
On Wing It you enter the price you want to receive. Wing It’s marketplace fee of 13% plus $1.00, and payment processing of 3.15% plus $0.55, are added to the guest’s checkout rather than deducted from your price. So a $125 daily rate means $125 to you.
The one recurring cost carried by the landowner is an annual liability policy through Wing It’s insurance partner, covering Wing It activities hosted on the property. It is an annual cost rather than a per-booking cost. Learn more. At a $125 daily rate, three bookings generate $375 in landowner revenue — more than the annual insurance cost. Wing It is not an insurer, agent or broker; policy terms, limits and exclusions are set out in the policy itself.
