Florida State Hunting Season 2022 - 2023

The purpose of the information about Florida hunting seasons is to provide an outline of when various wildlife species can be hunted in the state. The list includes deer, turkey, gray squirrel, quail, bobcat, otter, rabbits, wild hogs, raccoons, opossums, skunks, nutrias, beaver and coyotes, which can be hunted year-round. Additionally, the list includes crow, rail (king and clapper), common gallinule (moorhen), Canada goose (west migration), duck (west migration) dove (mourning and white-winged), snipe, coot, light geese (snow, blue and Ross’) (west migration) and merganser (west migration), which have more restricted hunting times. Lastly, the list includes woodcock and coot which can be hunted during a limited window in the winter. This information helps hunters plan their trips accordingly to ensure they are hunting within legal limits and avoiding closed seasons.
