Archery Season

  • October 1, 2025 – January 10, 2026

Youth Shotgun Season

  • October 18–19, 2025

Early Muzzleloader

  • October 18 – November 5, 2025

Shotgun Season 1

  • December 1–10, 2025

Shotgun Season 2

  • December 13–21, 2025

Late Muzzleloader

  • December 24, 2025 – January 10, 2026

Iowa Turkey Hunting Seasons 2025-2026

Fall Turkey

  • October 1–31, 2025 (shotgun; some WMAs archery only)

Spring Youth Turkey

  • April 11, 2026 (one-day youth season)

Spring Turkey Season 1

  • April 13–18, 2026

Spring Turkey Season 2

  • April 19–24, 2026

Spring Turkey Season 3

  • April 25 – May 14, 2026

Iowa Deer Hunting Seasons 2025-2026

Archery Season

  • Early Archery: October 1 – December 5, 2025
  • Late Archery: December 22, 2025 – January 10, 2026

Muzzleloader Season

  • Early Muzzleloader: October 11–19, 2025
  • Late Muzzleloader: December 22, 2025 – January 10, 2026

Shotgun Season

  • Season 1: December 6–10, 2025
  • Season 2: December 13–21, 2025

Antlerless Only Season

  • January Antlerless: January 11–25, 2026

Shooting hours for all deer seasons: one-half hour before sunrise to one-half hour after sunset.

Iowa Turkey Hunting Seasons 2025-2026

Spring Turkey Season 2026

  • Youth Only (Residents, age 15 and younger): April 10–12, 2026
  • Season 1: April 13–16, 2026
  • Season 2: April 17–21, 2026
  • Season 3: April 22–28, 2026
  • Season 4: April 29 – May 17, 2026
  • Resident Archery Only: April 13 – May 17, 2026

Note: Hunters may select up to two seasons; at least one must be Season 4.

Fall Turkey Season 2025

  • Fall season typically runs mid-October through early December 2025 (residents only for fall licenses)
  • Check the Iowa DNR for exact fall 2025 dates and county-specific regulations
